As we come closer to the end of the school year, both students and teachers are looking forward to the break. As a parent, you are probably already wondering what to make your child do during all that free time. Some of you besides summer camps and other programs will go to the store and buy activity books. If you are a parent who feel that a child should do some studies even during the break, instead of randomly picking any books I would like to suggest a few things to get the best results.
- Understand the concept, that in every grade, concepts build on the previous one. If you know that your child had a weakness in the current grade, work to build it up during the summer. For example, lets say in third grade that your child was supposed to know number sense up to a million. In fourth grade the students will be expected to know it up to a billion. Read more…
